Our emphasis at this workshop will be on composition, values and color. Through a series of design steps, we will show the artist how to create a compelling work of art based on design of the work. Drawing skills will be emphasized and yet the artist will be left free to explore their own individual styles of painting. From a classical landscape painting perspective, we will also explore the 5 steps in making space recede. All levels of painters are welcome as well as all media. When you register we will include a supplies list and some strongly recommended reading on composition, drawing, and color. We take no more than 10 artists at a time. We have many artists and their guests returning to our workshops in the US and in Italy every year. The Workshop price is $295. (lodging, meals & transportation is on your own) |
